We’ve all seen those miracle products on the late night infomercials that are supposed to tone and shape your abs with the touch of a button. They usually look something like this…
In theory, these machines do all the work for you, and you can feel a noticeable difference after your first time using one. While that would be great in the ideal world, reality does not work that way. To get six pack abs, you actually have to use workout routines and dieting schemes that will help your body, not a machine that will take care of everything for you. Here is the truth about “awesome ab builders” from TV.
Before and After Fakeouts
If you are convinced you can get six pack abs from one of these machines because you saw before and after pictures on the commercials, you need to realize how fake those things are. For one, the host that supposedly got his or her great bod from the machine has likely spent a lifetime in the gym sculpting his or her body to perfection. Rest assured that person did not achieve six pack abs overnight from one of these instant machines. The pictures they use in the commercials for other users are almost always photo enhanced or manipulated to make it look like a person was fatter than he or she was. These are all tricks to scam you out of money.
Belted Bologna
You cannot get the six pack abs from one of these silly machines because they are not actually doing anything to your body. Think about the belts for instance. Do you think that rubbing a piece of fabric over your stomach repetitively could actually get six pack abs over time? This would be great if it was true, but it is completely bogus. It’s not possible to get a six pack of abs through electric shock or anything else either. You have to do it on your own.
Reality Rejection
There is a reason why you never see these miracle products in actual gyms. They don’t work. You may see a Total Gym or a Boflex in the workout room, but you aren’t going to see a rack of ab belts hanging up for all the world to use. They’re a load of crap, and they need to be disregarded as such.
You have to make an effort to get six pack abs all on your own, not with the aid of a lazy man’s machine. You won’t see that product from the infomercial ever again, especially since it will probably die in popularity within a few months. Push it out of your mind and commit your thoughts to the right training for the task at hand. Use your police officer/ninja skills to get the rocking body you’ve been waiting on. You will feel much more accomplished that way in the end.
